Seagrass is a grass that is grown and harvested each year in rice paddies that are flooded with seawater as the crop develops. Slightly waxy by nature, it is naturally stain-resistant and easy to maintain. In its natural state, seagrass is a wild green hue that gradually turns to a soft tan after a few months.

Seagrass is woven from thousands of strands of hand-twisted grass yarn. There will always be flakes, wiry strands that will disappear over time, as well as knots throughout.

It is suitable for temperature-controlled indoor areas. Not suitable for areas exposed to damp conditions or high humidity. Seagrass will mold when exposed to these conditions. A broom is sufficient for general maintenance, as well as a damp mop. When a heavy wet stain occurs due to a spill or cleaning, use a handheld hairdryer or fan to make it disappear.
